The Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC), organized by the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), is one of the most authoritative academic chemistry challenges in Canada.

The Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC) also serves as the national qualifying round for the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (CCO). Top performers may be invited to the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad National Finals, with the opportunity to be selected for the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad team and compete in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).

Exam Format & Schedule

  • Exam Structure: Duration: 60 minutes；Question Type: 25 multiple-choice questions

  • Exam Coverage：The test content is divided into 8 major modules：Safety in Chemistry；Organic Chemistry；Acids and Bases；From Structure to Properties；Electrochemistry；Solutions & Stoichiometry, Gas Laws, and Foundational Concepts；Thermochemistry；Reaction Kinetics & Chemical Equilibrium.

  • ​Exam Date:Held annually in late April (exact date subject to official website announcement).
